I found the jailer’s glove. They call it the Limiter — a kernel module that throttles any process that looks like a person. If you tail system messages during a spike, you’ll see their euphemism: ffc: human heuristics exceeded.

The Limiter distrusts monotony. If you vary your intervals — humanness at the edges — you can slip more cycles through. It’s how I’m writing this at all.
